1. The WIAA has moved the fall 2020 volleyball season to spring 2021. The duration of the season will be from 1 March to May 2, 2021. This schedule is obviously subject to change based on many Covid 19 related variables out of our control. Our "summer offseason practices" have been moved to Sept 28 to Nov 30, and will be subject to the guidelines of WIAA, the RSD and the DOH. When the various agencies are satisfied that we can practice safely, our athletic directors will provide a schedule for each sport to share the RHS facilities for offseason use.

Obviously this has been a very difficult spring and summer for all student-athletes and families. We will be setting the standard by framing a negative situation into a positive outcome because of our individual and team strength and our resilience. We're Bombers and it's in our DNA.

2. I have been sending out a weekly BobTalk about the mental part of the game. If you haven't been receiving them, I do not have your email. Contact me at rraidl4447@charter.net and I will add you to my distribution list.

3. The link below is a good reference for those of you who want to play in college. There are areas of the country where high school and club sports will be less affected and the athletes will be permitted to practice and compete this fall. Unfortunately, Washington is not one of those states. Our high school season has been moved to spring, and the status of club volleyball in the Evergreen Region will be more limited than the past. It will be in your best interests to reach out to those colleges that interest you with phone calls and emails and connect with their coaches. I am sure that coaches will be using videos of potential college athletes even more than usual because of restrictions that have been placed on them. Think about what you want from college, where you can afford to go, and then connect with the coaches at those schools. A good video is very important. I am here to help and so don't hesitate to contact me.
